VISION FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS
Dean is the undisputed progressive who gets things done. His visionary ideas have gotten results that have benefited thousands of San Franciscans. He has successfully taxed extreme wealth to fund affordable housing and rent relief, prevented tens of thousands of evictions, restored Muni lines and championed Free Muni for Youth, and housed thousands of homeless people in hotels and supportive housing. All that in a global pandemic, and he has just gotten started. Priorities for his second term include:
Continued progress for street safety in the Tenderloin
Implementing the successful 4 Pillars approach to reduce overdoses, crime, and public drug use
Save the Fillmore’s only full-service grocery store and bring a full-service grocery store to the Tenderloin
Activating the Fillmore Heritage Center
Development without displacement in our communities
Filling vacant homes and vacant storefronts
Launching the public bank to invest in small businesses, affordable housing, and green infrastructure
Continuing to prioritize the needs of those most vulnerable as we work for a better, more equitable, more sustainable San Francisco
